Hi everybody, my name is Stella Edler and here is a little bit about me. I was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale Florida. I love the beach so much, I grew up going to the keys and Bahamas, just living in my bathing suit and spending all my time in the sun getting sandy and swimming. But I truly am a country girl at heart. my grandparents live in Arizona so I also grew up riding horses and going mudding and practically living in cowboy boots. A lot of my friends call me a red neck and say that sometimes when I'm talking my country accent comes out. I would say that I am pretty active, I really only play soccer but I enjoy volleyball and going surfing and snorkeling. I really want to get my scuba certification and go swimming with sharks. I am not much of a book person but I really enjoy watching older TV shows like one tree hill, or the OC, etc. My favorite movies have to be the fast and furious movies, just something about that has me so intrigued. And I absolutely love country music, Zach Bryan and Morgan Wallen are my favorite singers. I also go to church, well I don't go as much as I should but I love participating in things with the church. Every summer since I was in second grade my church does a week long day camp called VBS (vacation bible school), that teaches kids about god. I have been a counselor there for 2 years and I love it, just seeing the kids get so excited makes me so happy because I was their age once and loved going to VBS. I am a very picky eater, whenever we go out to dinner I still order off the kids menu even as a 15 year-old. I have thought about what I wanna do when I grow up for quite some time, and honestly I have no idea. Ever since I was little I wanted to be a teacher then I started thinking about the crime industry, I love the ocean so I also wanted to do something like marine biology, then I also liked the idea of being a OBGYN. I still have some time to decide what I want to do. I have a pretty big family, my mom has 3 sisters so there is 12 cousins in total on her side. 10 of those cousins are boys, which leaves me and my best friend, but they are my favorite people in the whole world. My dad just has one brother so there is 4 of us, 2 more boys cousins then my brother and I. I have been to 12 out of the 50 states and 8 different countries. I was going into high school last year, but I met a lot of people that will be some of my life long best friends. I am such a people person, I love being around the people that I love and just hanging out. I hope you enjoyed reading about me. Stella out ;)

How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?     I made a conscious effort to both follow and deviate from accepted conventions in the selected media when developing my project. My music video conventions stayed in the same genre, being R&B, throughout the whole planning and production process. My group and I knew from the beginning that we were going to stay with the artist, SZA, and her style of music. We all really enjoy listening to her songs and the lyrics within each song are easy to build a story upon. Knowing that we were going to use SZA as our song artist, it was not a hard process when editing because none of us got tired of hearing her voice over and over. She is also one of my group members and my favorite artist so we are very familiar with her songs and I know how the music video story could be laid out relating to the lyrics.
